Hers brand launches in Australia (Juniper rebrands as Hers), Q3 results date set for 9 Nov

Two threads. (1) On 12 Oct HIMS rebranded its Australian women's health platform Juniper as Hers and broadened the range. Juniper had focused on weight loss and already offered menopause and perimenopause care; the new category is hair regrowth, and the range also covers comprehensive weight management.

Existing Juniper patients keep their treatment courses, and Australian chief medical officer Matt Vickers stressed an 'evidence-based' approach to women's health across life stages. The move follows the August rebrand of the Australian men's platform Pilot as Hims. Eucalyptus, the parent of Juniper and Pilot, was bought by HIMS for $1.15 billion (agreed in February 2026, closed in June 2026), and both Australian brands now sit under the Hims and Hers dual brand. The release covers Australia only: Eucalyptus also operates in the UK, Germany, Japan and Canada. (2) On 12 Oct HIMS confirmed that Q3 2026 results will be published after the US market close on 9 Nov. The core tension is whether revenue growth of 38% year on year can turn into 'a jump in profit and better unit economics', against a structurally compressed gross margin of 64%, a swing to a loss of $86.3 million, an accrual of about $62.5 million for legal contingencies in the first half (the filing does not name the matter, so a link to the FTC case is unconfirmed) and compliance costs eating into earnings from several directions. The Q3 report will show. The countdown is about 4 weeks.

Key evidence

  • 12 Oct HIMS announcement: Australian women's health platform Juniper rebranded as Hers. The range covers weight loss, hair regrowth, menopause and perimenopause management and comprehensive weight management. Hair regrowth is the new category; Juniper already offered menopause care
  • Existing Juniper patients keep their treatment courses; Australian chief medical officer Matt Vickers stressed 'evidence-based' women's health care across life stages
  • Background: in August the Australian men's health platform Pilot was renamed Hims; on 12 Oct Juniper became Hers. Both Australian brands, Juniper and Pilot, now sit under the Hims and Hers dual brand. The release covers Australia only: Eucalyptus also operates in the UK, Germany, Japan and Canada
  • HIMS agreed to buy Eucalyptus in February 2026 for $1.15 billion and closed the deal in June 2026. Eucalyptus was founded in Sydney in 2021 and is the parent of Juniper and Pilot
  • What it means: (1) a direct test of post-acquisition integration; (2) international expansion of the women's health TAM, which gives subscription growth a second geographic leg
  • Restraint: so far this is a rebrand and a category launch. Incremental Australian subscriptions and revenue need to be confirmed by segment data in the results, and the announcement itself does not change unit economics

  • 12 Oct: HIMS confirmed that Q3 2026 results will be published after the US market close on 9 Nov
  • Core test for Q3: whether revenue growth of 38% year on year can turn into a jump in profit and better unit economics, against a structurally compressed gross margin of 64%, a swing to a loss of $86.3 million, an accrual of about $62.5 million for legal contingencies in the first half (the filing does not name the matter, so a link to the FTC case is unconfirmed) and compliance costs eating into earnings from several directions
  • Everything else today is excluded: law firm solicitations over the securities class action (the same case as on 3 Sep, spreading), analyst ratings and price targets, and pure share price and technical moves. None of it is counted

Catalysts to watch

  • 9 Nov after the close: Q3 2026 results, the next proof point, with the date now fixed (countdown of about 4 weeks)
  • Incremental Hers subscriptions and revenue in Australia: to be confirmed by Q3 or later segment data
  • Delivery of Eucalyptus synergies: watch subscription retention and conversion from category expansion after the Australian integration

Risks

  • The Hers launch in Australia is a branding move that does not change unit economics, so execution still has to be proved
  • The core tension in Q3 is unresolved: gross margin structurally compressed to 64%, a swing to an $86.3 million loss, an accrual of about $62.5 million for legal contingencies in the first half and compliance costs eating into earnings
  • If the jump in Q3 profit and the improvement in unit economics do not materialise, the cautious view on risk/reward is confirmed
  • The securities class action (the same case, spreading since 3 Sep) keeps developing: it is an excluded item but needs tracking
